okay so on this 2 channel jcm 800 what i'm wondering is can i use one of them as strictly a clean channel at normal and loud volumes (as well as one overdriven)

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

considering the amp you have, youd be blown away with this amp whatever!

these arent going to be pure fender cleans but dont forget your guitar is a vital part in that sound - in conjunction with its volume.

Mine has ok cleans. Nothing special. You can enhance it with some effects though. I just rarely use my clean channel, the lead channel is just too tasty. One of the best tones I've ever heard. I play pretty heavy thrash, in the lines of Slayer. Does it easily with my BOSS SD-1 full open in front of it. Sounds immense. The cleans are doable but don't expect anything special. I wouldn't buy this amp if you're doing many cleans.
