i'm looking to see if there are other cheap drum machines.
right now im using Acoustica Beatcraft, and its a little too digital for me, are there cheap drum machines that are a little more life-like that i can do myself?

I'd recommend Rhythm Rascal.

All I personally had to do was find a china cymbal sample, and I was set for making drum tracks and exporting out to MIDI and WAV.

You can pretty much swap all the samples for any other samples you can find on the internet. I personally thought the cymbals were decent, but you can change them if you don't.

oh
ok.

keep the suggestions coming!
i'm a solo artist, kind of. and i would like it to sound along the lines of George Kollias from Nile and Inferno from Behemoth, they're my two favorite drummers and i would like to have something to sound like that.
thanks again. :]
