Legato just means smooth playing. In terms of guitar, it generally refers to hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides.

Don't look too deep into the term "liquid." It's an abstract descriptor.

So what? I wasted like 5 minutes watching DaddyTwoFoot's avatar.

Metalheads are the worst thing that ever happened to metal.

Where can I hear this "liquid" sound you speak of?

The only reference to it I've ever seen is for the AT description, and I never took that seriously.

Any faster legato licks would really describe what that sounds generally means. Look at some guys known for legato - check out some of Satch's fast legato licks in songs like "Flying in a Blue Dream". Michael Romeo is a great legato player, listen to the intro and solos of "Sea of Lies" for examples. I'm working on that song, it's quite challenging.

Liquid. Flows. Your music flows. it doesnt sound like a bunch of sounds, it sounds like one sound thats changing. At least, thats what I take from it.
