Who here carries a concealed weapon of some sort regularly?

I usually carry my Walther PP9 and/or my Ka-Bar USMC knife.

Oh and please no "GUNZ R BAD" type posts.

Do martial arts count? No one knows you have it and you can pretty much kill someone with it.

well i live in a rural community in North Dakota....soo naturally i usually have a hunting rifle, .22, or a 4/10 in my vehicle. I usually have a hunting knife in the car too...I guess those arent' really considered concealable weapons tho =X

I conceal my Ka-Bar (which is 12" with a 7" blade) in my boot. but yeah it's pretty hard to hid a rifle unless you saw off part of the barrel and the stock.

Indeed, I don't see a need for one. A knife or martial arts will do the trick rather than take the chance of having a gun turned on me.

why?

just because it's a large calibre?

they are big, bulky and only carry at absolute maximum 8 rounds

completely illogical choice for a concealed weapon

something compact like TS's Walther is much better suited.

dont go with the taurus....definitely the HK, my buddy has a taurus and its a cheap beretta..its not terrible for the money but i can take the gun apart with one flip of my finger..im just not a fan of beretta and definitley not a cheap one...if you cant afford anything else like a glock or hk i guess its ok but man if you have the money an HK would be nice

deagles aren't really that good in the RL, ibanez. they are hella innacurate unless you spend days working your hand muscles, and i mean more than just jackin' it. settle for a glock/anything else simpler and MUCH cheaper.

well I do prefer to use my knife if i have too, but it's a lot easier for them to take that away than it is for them to take a gun, mainly because when most people see a gun pointed at them they flee, no one wants to get shot.

They're actually very accurate if yo shoot them two handed, they have a lot less kick than you'd expect too.

Self defense. Honestly, there are some places in Texas that I wouldn't walk without protection, be it in the wilderness or in the ghetto.

I usually carry a pocket knife or my switchblade, but the reason I carry them is more for general knife tasks rather than as a weapon. If it was a matter of self defence I would use it as such though.

What I like about martial arts is that you can't lose it easily. It also seems more honourable to die by being pummeled to death rather than being shot by some loser.

No sh*t!? Concealed weapons aren't tough looking? I was sure people hid weapons to look like a badass.

I am 19, I am old enough to legally open carry here in Colorado. I never do, too many ignorant people to deal with; "omg, he has a gunz!!11111".

I plan to get a permit when I turn 21. but I doubt I will carry it often. I would like either a PPK or a Makarov. They are small, easily concealable, and offer little chance of over penetration. Though I am sure I'll change my mind about what to get between now and then.

sort of, the James Bond gun is a Walther PPK, they are pretty similar only the PP9 uses a 9mm cartridge and the PPK uses a .32 ACP.

that's insane, you would like have to set it up on the bipod and load the belt feed. I think don't think a mugger would wait that long.

oh and in Goldeneye, the gun is called a PP7, because they didn't want to use real gun names for whatever reason.

When I move away from my parents, I'll look into Steyr's M series...I've heard good things about their ergonomics and reliability. And probably grab a .22 bolt action for target practice, break action shotgun for trap shooting, and a tactical shotgun for home protection. Of course, not all at the same time.

As for knives, I've heard of new self-defense ones that you use almost like brass knuckles, that allow you to shoot and use the knife almost simultaneously.

I carry a knife about the size of a switchblade with me most of the time. I have a pair of brass knucks, but I don't carry them. That's a little too suspect.

... your right. I feel horrible for not knowing that. I played that so much as a kid, with my friends, brother, and his friends. At the same time.

I have one of those somewhere, but real men hold their knife with their teeth while shooting.
