I'm relatively new at acoustic guitar and I'm thinking about changing strings soon. I'm looking for a bright sound but without losing a nice deep bass which could happen if I chose a lighter gauge. I know that there was a sticky on strings before but I don't know where it went. Thanks for all the help!

If you want a nice bright sound, without losing a nice deep bass, which could happen if you chose a lighter gauge...Then it sounds like you go with a regular gauge string :S Plus if you get tired of changing strings, a lighter gauge ain't the way to go. Idk.

Unless there is some custom gauge strings that give you a bright sound and the bass sound, but I doubt it.

You could customize your own string set but that'll just cost you twice as much. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. In general lighter strings sound weaker. If anything I'd recommend going heavier so the highs will ring out a bit more.
