Things im looking for in a guitar
Used is completely acceptable
jumbo frets
24frets
capable of a good heavy metal(metallica as an example)
capable of good shreader metal(malmsteen, rhoads for example)
Styles not the most important thing but hey id still like to look cool
I love that 80s look
I also love the floyd rose`s
Things i dislike in a guitar
Fenders of any sort(never feel right in my hands)
Nothing against the sound just dont dig em

What do you mean by 80's?

You could probably pickup a Charvel for that much money, though I'm not sure about the 24 frets thing...

24 frets is a pretty much must
Plus could you tell me a little more about the guitar and why you think its worth looking for to play one?

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

Pretty much any Ibanez RG could do the job.

Although I personally hate Gibson, the MIII model pretty much fits the bill, if you can find a used one. They can be a bit hard to find, though.
Q: Favourite Pink Floyd song?
A: The one where they get wicked high and play Emin and A for an hour.

Ill look at the MIII, i dont mind takeing the time to find it, I was also told to try out some of the pre 94 PRS guitars Anyone know anything about them or what model i should look for?i have little experience with PRS.

I'd like to mention again i have no problems with vintage guitars
(id really like some suggestions of some vintage guitars i can look for)

Again why would you tell me to pick the soloist?

Well it seems to fit what you're looking for. It's got the 24 jumbo frets, an OFR, and has that superstrat look (80's shredder look). I haven't played it myself, but I have a buddy who owns one and he loves it for metal and shred.

For what you are looking for I would recommend a ESP LTD MH400. 24 Jumbo frets, Floyd Rose License Lo Pro, Active EMG's (81/85), and a great 80's look. Take a look at the 2008 model for that great looking 80's headstock! I have a left handed one and had to wait over 6 months for it but hell's teeth it was worth it!!
