Exclusively for metal, passive, under 100$ (new), for rhythm and lead, fat but still something with bite and definition, maple guitar body, six strings, somewhat frequent drop tuning (C,B,A standard). Thanks for any suggestions.

What.....??
Are you selling something? Or asking what pickup to use? Or just making a statement?

If your looking for a pickup to match that, go for a Bareknuckle.

I was asking for suggestions on which to use. I think the Bareknuckle would be somewhat out of my price range though.

What amp are you playing through?

It's a 100 watt Carvin 2x12 transistor combo. I know it needs to be replaced as well but my current pickup doesn't even work so that's my main priority right now.

Well, do you have a soldering iron? I HIGHLY doubt your bridge pickup is actually broken.
Pickups don't break very easily.

It's more likely to be a bad switch/pot/connection somewhere.
