i was wondering if theres a way to make something the kinda has the same affect as a capo considering its liek 1 in the morning where i live i kinda need one haha

Bassists don't use chords much and open chords even less, so there's really no need for a capo. It only limits what you can play. If you really want one for some godawful reason, a regular guitar capo will fit.

I use a capo occasionally. I find them very useful for tapping because if you're tapping high up the neck, then want to pull off to a lower note, you can put the capo there so you don't have to move your hands so much.
