so basically i have a jam tommorow and its just me and me drummer so soloing sounds weird with no backing, what im saying is anyone have any suggestions for a good jam song with no solo but a cool rythym part, my styles are really just blues, rock and metal.

You could just play the rythm parts instead of the solos and do some Sabbath and AC/DC.

play some hendrix, theres solos, but not too bad over drums. Try some Nirvana or something, maybe even some Cream.

Think Dimebag, man; jamming with his brother on drums, he had to be soloing at some point with no backing guitar/bass. Let 'er rip, you might find techniques that you didn't know of before.

Ball and Biscuit by White Stripes.
Ok, so the drumming might be crap, but it has some incredible solos, which'll sound fine with just drums and guitar. As that's what they use

not sure how popular this is going to be, but as youve only got drums n guitar then try some white stripes, like the seven nation army riff and then kind of fill it out and improvise around with it. should be fun

and now im going to get trashed by a load of metal-heads

Do You Close Your Eyes by Rainbow.

Good riff, great song, no solo (apart from the odd lick fill).
