Has anyone heard of Marlin Guitars? My friend owns one and I was wondering if I could find some information it. He also says its worth $3000, which I think is bull****. thanks

yeah, they have one of those at college. It is nasty, its ridiculously heavy (i can take the weight of a les paul no problem, but this thing...) and sounds like total arse. even the tone controls are the wrong way round. It's made in Wales, apparently it's worth £20.

On the other hand, I have a Marlin 60 watt solid state amp, thats actually not bad. Nor is it that good, but its way better than any recent budget solid state amp i've seen.

I bought a Marlin yesterday for £20. Its not that good really sounds a bit dodgy and has some really weird features. Lots of fret buzz although i havent tried setting it up at all so previous owner might have just ****ed with it.
