got a sweet deal on an empty vintage marshall cab, an angled 4x12, unloaded..
i got 2 speakers on the way, and i'm kinda broke now..
any cons against putting only 2 speakers in a 4x12..?

Nothing really, just pointless shifting a 4x12 cab with only 2 speakers in it, its just gonna be bulkier, I cant see the sound being affected

bass response might not be as good as a loaded 4x12, because a lot of it is going to escape through the empty holes.

As far as i know the only liquor that should not be stored after opened is wine, and even then it's mainly the french one. American wine usually has conservatives in it to stop this.

It's called detuning, it's perfectly fine to do. You might get a bit less bass than with four speakers but for about half the price it's a very reasonable idea.

Exactly - you'll loose punch, but it will be fine and won't damage anything. Just match your impedences and don't overload your speakers.
