Assumably you mean those "RGT" grades?
Just the grades for your instrument?

Apparenlty I'm a 6-7ish and I've been playing two and a half years (I'm 15) and have been learning theory as well as all the regular shizz.

Age has nothing to do with it.

Do you think you're good?

If yes, then probably so. Age (or the amount of hours you play) has nothing to do with skill. Like Mr. Ninja said.

If 'Rockschool grades' vary, what use is it to compare them? We don't know what your grades exactly mean....

I am playing guitar for 3 yrs now and i can play master of puppets metallica whole song/

I learn to play guitar by NO ROCKSCHOOL!!!!!
i Know Music school is great but you should find your own self, I mean find what songs you like to play, what songs fits you.

because music school teach you very slow, you always follow what they say to you, and then after you listened to them you just gunna practice the things that they said to you....
Well im not saying music school is bad,, but you should decide for yourself....

you've been playing for three years, and you're doing grade 4. That's about average, possibly slightly higher. I've been playing for about 4-5 years and I'm at grade 5, easily going to pass, and shouldn't struggle too much with grade 6.

for all those who don't know what RockSchool is, it's an exam board, like RGT and all the millions of others.

I know a kid who is 8 and has done grade 7 on both piano and violin, the real ABSRM ones. Like Punk Ninja said, age has nothing to do with it

Thats amazing for a 8 yr. old kid.
But there is still a diiference with learning guitar or music by your self than going to music schoOLs.........

Well if you ask the kid he just, do you think he enjoy it????
Playing without feelings dude....

I DONT Say that music schools are bad, thou even James Hetfield had been to vocal lessons.....

After one year i could play master of puppets, I used theory and have gone to lessons.

You're one who thinks "if I put my heart and soul into it, it doesn't matter if I have no hands".
Here's the brutal truth. You CAN'T write good music without knowing theory.
Sure you can self teach it, but this rockschool malarky shows you how much you know, and can help you learn.
It seems this rockschool isn't actually a school as such (not sure haven't looked on the websitte) but the tests to tell you where you are.
I know that I'm between 6 and 8.

Also my teacher has never taught me slow.
He taught me chords and scales on my first lessons (the basics) then plunged me straight into learning and analysing songs.
Now I've been playing two and a half years and I'm reknowned with the young people of my town as "That guy who's good at guitar".

How I got there. Lessons. Theory. Practice Regime.

Soul is for composition of words.
Soul shall not help you play guitar like Stevie Ray Vaughan.

it's about how long you practise and how long you've been p[laying, but i've been playing a year and a half and my guitar teacher showed me grade 5 and the were easy, so you know, you dont need to know that, just keep practising.
