What if you could go to a search engine, and hum a melody into a mic connected to your computer? or into a MIDI keyboard? And the results would give you the title and artist, and a link to the song and album on iTunes and Amazon.

you can kinda do that with some phones now. i have AT&T and if you want to buy the song on their service, you put the phones voice input by a speaker playing a song, and it will find the song so you can buy it. pretty sweet

one time i made a cool riff but it sounded familiar and it bugged me for like months and i couldnt figure it out but then i heard Neil Youngs "Southern Man" on the radio and i was like "****."

good song though.
