why are there like a ton of actors(not compared to the rest) and only a hand full of musicians?

I find it interesting how there are more actors in the list than social activists or people that actually helped change the world

thats a load of bollocks its just full of american people who dont mean a thing outside of america

and tbh im amazed rupert murdoch wasnt much higher, he practicly controls all of the media and the media is THE most influencial tool out there

It's amazing how some of the most influential people on the list get an average score of 35 -.-

Tiger Woods is pretty influential, he's young and won tons of golf championships.

Oscar Pistorius has prosthetic legs and is an amazing runner and has a low score too. Horrible....

Edit: Why the hell are the cast of High School Musical on this

It's a joke, guys... or atleast I hope so. I mean,

1. Some korean pop singer (Rain)
2. Stephen colbert
3. Washed up junkie (Britney)
4. Random author (Stephinie meyer)
5. Swiss tennis player? (Roger federer)

I'm sorry, but I'm more influenced by beans on toast than any of those.

Where's putin, bush, rice, oprah? Say what you will but they're way more influential than any of the listed above top 5 saps.

First of all Brad Pitt is an awesome actor, and whoever says otherwise clearly has seen nonme of is films and is just assuming he sucks because he appears in gossip columns.

Secondly this list looks like a joke, Rain won last year apparently due to South Korea's adorable rabid fanboyism regarding their own people who make it in the west.

Isn't it a bit early to be deciding the most influential person of 2008 seeing as the year only recently began? You know, theres still some time left for sh!t to happen.
