Blackened - Metallica.
No, seriously. Its about the way man violates and abuses the environment.

John Denver has alot and is safe so the school wouldn't mind you playing it. David Byrne has a great one, I can't remember what it is called, it's on the Clerks 2 soundtrack.
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

A lot of the band Gojira's songs are about the environment. If the school doesn't mind death metal, play some of Gojira's songs

was about to suggest myself
go for it!

Horizon Has been Defeated- Jack Johnson
Nine planets surround the sun
Only one does the sun embrace
Upon this watered one
So much we take for granted

Play some Adrian Belew (guitarist/singer of King Crimson) songs like 'Men in Helicopters' and 'Elephants'. There's a few more, but definitely Men in Helicopters!
Tab is here: http://members.aol.com/markjx/meninhel.htm (although it's an acoustic adaption)

"Men in helicopters fly
Shooting rhinos from out of the sky
Why do we always assume
The planet is ours to ruin?
What a legacy we're leaving behind
What a legacy

Wouldn't it be something
For the men killing dolphin
To be caught up by their necks
In their greedy fishing nets
Wouldn't it be irony
If the tuna fish canneries
Were to fall into the sea

The dolphins and the whales still left alive
Cry to the stars in the deep blue night
"there's nowhere to hide,
The people on earth will not be denied"
What a legacy we're leaving behind
What a legacy"
