So I never really wanted one but recently some covers I'm playing actually would make life easier and sound better with a double.

Now I looked at the real deal Gibson,I can't justify dropping that much dinero on a guitar with limited usefulness yet I want one that will have quality sound and playability.

So that basically leaves a Epiphone or the new Dean hardtail.I don't know jack about Dean guitars, are they of decent quality?

I wish Slash's double neck was available but I have never seen one for sale.

thx

any double neck is gunna cost alot of dinero dude

True to a extent. You can get a Epiphone on Ebay for $600.Or one close to $900 new.The Dean costs about the same. But that is a far cry from $3000 for a Gibson.

The Slash model I was refering to is made by Guild, which is a acoustic 12 matched with a six string electric.

Local stores do have Epiphones to try,I will.Still, the Dean "looks" quality made, was wondering if it really is.

There's a Jay Turser double neck, it shouldn't be more then $500.

Heres a pic...

I would say go for the Agile though. They are cheap and apparently very good for the price.

great link!I'm a big fan of EMG 's.Like the black look.Any positive or neg feedback on these guitars?

Agile is on the same level (some say higher) as Epiphone quality-wise but they are less expensive because they sell factory direct and they don't have a big brand name that they can lure people in with. If Epiphone ever made a doubleneck SG with 4 active EMG pickups, it would probably cost twice as much as that Agile.

if you look at the pics closely the EMG's are only on the 6 string side...but i still say it's worth the price

Good luck. Agiles are only available through rondomusic.com, and you don't see used ones in stores very often. I used to know a guy who had an AL-2800, and I'd say that the feel is very similar to an Epiphone, but the quality was quite a bit better.
