Anyone know any good fretting hand excercises? (I can't buy a finger strengthener just yet) I didn't even notice until a while ago that I led a strictly right handed life, and consequently my fretting hand isn't as fast as I wanted it to be (I can just now barely play the main riff to The Trooper) and so if there's any good excercises that don't involve buying stuff, that'd be cool.
The intro to Van Halen's, "Ain't Talkin 'bout Love" would be a good one. Try that, and this:


Play that same pattern as SOLID as possible down to the 12th fret, on every string.
