We're all forgetting the all important Electric Mayhem, Sgt. Floyd Pepper anyone?
By reading this magnificently and wonderful, adjective-filled signature, you have just wasted approximately 7 seconds of your life.

+1 to whoever said Protest the Hero. Arif is freaking AMAZING, as a bassist and lyricist. also +1 for the person who said Between the Buried and Me. Viridian from "Colors" just blew me away. and IMO its NOT a pointless thread. i'm a guitarist, but i appreciate an extremely talented drummer or bassist just as much as i would a guitarist.

Cream. The greatest bassist of his time is also an amazing vocalist. Jack Bruce forever.

I can't believe you actually just asked that.

Go take a listen and you'll hear the songs ooze low-end awesomeness.

I've never really listened to them (other then one or two of their songs).
#26
Yeah, the basslines ooze awesomeness.

Yeah: Metallica had a good one until 1986. Cliff Burton.

Also Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses. Listen to the lines on that album. Not a note out of place.

Green Day (Mike Dirnt) - He's one of, if not THE best in his genre.

Lyn-Z (Mindless Self Indulgence) - because she has an Aerodyne and she herself is sexy as hell. Backbends... o_o

This is a bit of a pointless thread IMO. If a band is a bassist's favorite band, chances are they have a great bassist.

True that.

Have you ever heard them live? Look up a concert video on the internet. Pete does some of the most horrendous bass and singing I have EVER heard. I'm not saying he's a bad bassist, but he's not the best. not even close.

Woah woah woah. Lets set this all straight. He was being sarcastic, Pete Wentz is a plain out TERRIBLE bassist.
