Im looking for a good wah pedal. What should I get? I was leaning towards a Crybaby. Some of the music I listen to that uses Wah is Rage Against the Machine, Jimi Hendrix, and Pearl Jam. Mainly for a Rage sound. Help? (what should I get)

As far as I know, Tom Morello uses a Digitech Whammy, not a Crybaby. I could be wrong though.

^ he has both, but his crybaby is from the early 80's so its designed a little different than ones nowadays

first off, what amp do you have, and how much are you willing to spend?

and an initial suggestion would most likely be the dunlop 535q crybaby since its basically the "standard do all" wah today
NOPE

Hendrix didn't use a crybaby, or at least didn't prefer it if he ever did. A vox is better for emulating his sounds. I have a crybaby and I hate it, I'll get a vox and mod it some day.

Ive had the same crybaby for over 15 years. Still works and easy to mod if I felt like it.

I think Morello's Wah is modded, and it is defo from the 80's (he said himself, Like his whammy) . However, Yes he does have the stock Jim Dunlop Cry-Baby.

I'd go for Cry Baby but I read somewhere that they suck, think it was here on UG but idk they seem to be popular....and their cheap .

...?

Watch him play live, Vox wah every time. You get a particularly good shot of it in the footage of his first show at Berkeley.
