So, I'm doing a montage on spring and the changing of winter to spring. I need a song for the background music, I was thinking something maybe uplifting and mellow(I'm not dead set on this). So if the pit has any suggestions for a song, throw 'em at me.

Godpseed You! Black Emperor - "Storm"

It's huge as f*ck... use part of it. Should do the trick beautifully

Waiting For The Sun - The Doors

Just because it wouldn't be like one of my posts if I didn't mention The Doors...

Yeah, I was thinking of using some D,O. I wanted something a little more lighthearted though. Kind of something mellow and light. Also, blackflag, the Aphex Twin is way too dark. What do you guys think of using Sufjan Stevens?

select some pieces from Stravinsky's the Rite of Spring . It's very beautiful music.

What I was actually thinking of doing is taking the first song and starting off with it. After that, I would go more upbeat and start the second song and end the first song and then start the first song at the end again. I think it would create a cool mood shift, what do you guys think? I plan on about a 5 minute long piece, so I think that should be good.

or maybe
Make them suffer By Cannibal Corpse.

Matt, do you like Regina Spektor at all? You might want to check some of her stuff out, some of
it's pretty light and uplifting. Also, Slighty Stoopids acoustic album is nice but it might not be exactly what you're looking for.

Yeah, Regina Spektor seems to be really good for this, but I think I'm going to stick with the Sufjan Stevens. Slightly Stoopid isn't really the feel I'm looking for.

-The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin, as mentioned above.
-Spring (First movement) by Vivaldi (Original huh? Beautiful composition, though.)
-Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles
-Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison

That's all I can think of at the moment.
