over the last couple of months i have been looking at new amps and guitars to buy this summer but i have just realised that i dont need a new guitar

atm i have a cort G250 which is not an amazing guitar but i love it and have no need to upgrade it. so with the decision that i am not going to buy a ew guitar i will have alot more money to spend on a new amp which will improve my tone significantly more than a guitar would.

what i plan on doing this summer is, getting a job, selling my fender stratocaster, selling my old fender amp, selling my valvetronix, selling my multieffects pedal. with that i will have quite a sum of money all of which i could spend on a new amp and probably an overdrive pedal.

i play anything from clapton and hendrix to acdc and guns n roses to pantera and metallica. so i am looking for a mid gain amp which with a good pedal could be cranked to teh br00talz. so gimme some suggestions for amps and pedals,

btw i live in the UK

well i rekon i will get 300 for the strat, 150 for the acoustic, 100 for the valvetronix, 30 forthe fender amp, 30 for the multieffects, so say around 400 - 450 for the amp and whatever is left can go to pedals,

btw i play at home, and also in band practice with a drummer, so nothing to big cos i dont gig yet

Deffinately look used,
The TT is supposed to pack a bit of gain, its worth a look IMO, the VC/Blackheart just wont put out metal on their own at all, and even with an OD, itll be a a struggle, a standalone distortion pedal would be a better idea for high gain.

Look into Laneys, LCs, GHs, VHs etc.
Peavey Classic, however its gonna be quite hard to push it.
Peavey Windsor (The stack. The combos supposed to be terrible.), non existant cleans, but a good hot rodded marshall sound supposedly, deffinately overkill on wattage though.
Sound Citys', pretty good amps for the money, pack a fair bit of gain too.
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, greatttt cleans, not much gain.
etc. etc.
