so for the past hour ive been trying to get my rig going again but for some reason no sound comes out when i start everything up

right now my rig is as follows:

guitar --> bbe opto stomp --> ibanez ts7/808 mod --> boss metalcore --> ibanez cs9 --> amp

ive tried all of of my patch cords and regular cables and they work fine, the guitar(s) also worksfine, along with the amp

for some reason whenever i plug in a pedal it no sound comes out, and this is happening with all of the pedals

i thought the problem may be in that i purchased a visual sound 1spot yesterday to replace my old adapter. but everything worked absolutely great when i plugged the 1spot in last night

i checked the 1spot to my old adapters and to the polarity of the pedals and it all seems fine as well as the manual says that my pedals are compatible with the 1spot

does anyone have an idea of why this is happening? did i overlook something obvious?

If you have enough batteries, try using only batteries to see if that's the problem. Are you sure the new adapter was the right voltage? Did you try the pedals individually?

yes

i plugged in each pedal

guitar --> single pedal --> amp

still nothing happened

the 1spot manual says these pedals(cept the opto) are compatible too

unfortunately i dont have any batteries on hand to try but the pedals work with my old adapter

also the 1spot says its 9v like most other adapters

straight into the amp...-_-;

i kinda need the opto stomp because it acts as a makeshift attenuator so i dont annoy my parents while getting more gain

but it wont ****in work and its annoying as ****

anyone else have any ideas on what could be wrong??

Creepy.. haha great minds think alike!

Anyway TS, it very well may be the adaptor. Do any of the pedals have an LED that says they're on?

What kind of amp do you have?

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

Just curious - what's that got to do with anything?

I re-read the post where he said that his amp worked fine, but I was too lazy to edit my post. Whatev, just ignore me for now.

Did you plug them all to the adapter and then try them individually, or did you use the adapter individually with each one? Because the adapter might supply less current than what you need for the pedals combined, so the led will light but the pedals won't work.

Just guessing, don't know if that could happen.

that sounds like what may have happened but it still boggles my mind why it only worked for the zoom

Try plugging only one of the pedals into the adapter and only using that between the guitar and amp.
