MXR Just came out with the MXR Classic 108 Fuzz, which is a stompbox version with a AC power source and same sound as a fuzz face. Does anyone know when it goes for sale, or knows anything about it?? And how does the Hendrix fuzz face sound??

Assuming that the "108" means the BC108 silicon transistor, then, well, no, it's not gonna get the majority of Hendrix's sounds. Maybe the later, Band of Gypsies stuff, but not much of it before that.

You'd want a germanium fuzz for that kind of thing.

However, this'll do nicely for some Pink Floyd (Time, Echoes, Childhood's End, that sort of thing).

EDIT: the Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face reissue also uses silicon, so again, it's not really suitable for earlier Hendrix.
Do YOU know who Les Paul is?

Guitars:
-Epiphone Dot Studio
Amps:
-Fender Stage 112 SE
Effects:
-BBE Soul Vibe
-Boss OD-1 Overdrive
-Ibanez DE-7 Delay
