As of this afternoon, i am officially on the market for a new amp.
I play mostly metal and hard rock stuff, the main stuff i play is:
Bullet for my valentine
Slipknot
System of a down
along with a few others.

My current amp is an ibanez IBZ10g 10 watt.
I own a Jackson warrior and a Boss GT-8 multi-fx pedal.

Any suggestions?

Budget?

I'd say for metal a 5150 is a good place to start.

Peavey. You could prob get a used one for around that.

When I say offensive I mean offensive like dressing up as superman in a wheel chair offensive, not penis suit offensive.

i have a Dean ML and a digitech rp250, the amp i use is a fender frontman 15
its a very good amp and with the setup i can get a good sound out of it, most of what i play is thrash metal like megadeth/metallica etc
so yeh ... fender frontman 15, its cheap but a good quality practice amp

I suppose you could check out some Bugeras out too. I haven't gotten my hands on one yet, but I hear they're good for high-gain stuff.
