I'm learning how to play Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynryd, but I'm stuck on how to finger one of the chords in the chorus, and none of the tabs say how, can i get some help?

use your index finger to bar the 3rd fret then use either both your ring and pinky finger on the 5th fret or bar the 5th fret with your ring finger

this would be a power chord. index on the 3, ring and pinky on the 5's. and move that shape up and down the neck...congrats you have just learned the magic and versatility of the power chord

Use your index finger for the 3rd fret on the A string and you can either use your ring finger for the 5th on D and pinky for the 5th on G or bar both 5ths with your ring finger.

thanks for the help, this is gonna sound very rookie, i know 2 string power chords, but throwing in my pinky felt weird, so i thought it was wrong, thats what i get for thinking i guess? haha
