Ok, firstly i know lots of people have asked about installing midi strips in their guitars and the general consensus is it isnt worth it.

However, i dont plan on building it in. I'm just doing it for fun and out of curiosity to see if it is possible for me to make a MIDI strip and use it to control soft synths on my computer. Iv seen the magnetic strip hack but im not sure how to build the actual midi controller circuit.

Could anyone help me out please?

essentially what you'd need is something that can convert a simple voltage into midi data. These guys should be able to point you in the right direction:

I would take the strip, hardwire into a Kaoss pad and use it to send the Midi data.
