I want to try out some different DiMarzio pickups for my Les Paul, but dont know if its a good decision. I know that keeping everything as original as possible is good, but I also want to know whether new pickups would benefit the sound. I'm already satisfied with my current ones and I just want to experiment with the sound.

Haha one of my pickups is smashed into the body of my guitar

It doesn't raise out

sounds like crap
Blindfolds aside I'd probably still close my eyes

And try to feel a trembling fetal life inside
that shotgun barrel that's about to make me bleed

Like an ulcer in the stomach of the beast

What type of Les Paul do you have? The 500T(i think) pickup that comes in the bridge on the Les Paul Classics are one of my favorite pickups. If you've got one of those personally I wouldn't change.
