I love playing harmonics, and I was wondering if there's a certain pickup brand/model that accentuates them (natural, pinch/artificial) more than others?

I play classic rock, metal, and occasionally blues.

Any good medium-high output humbucker would be good. The rest is down to technique really. The amp (of course) plays a part too.

But would an EMG 81 be good in a Strat? That's the thing, and I'm thinking it wouldn't be...I dunno why.

EDIT: Wait, did David Gilmour use EMG's?

I don't think an EMG 81 would really go with a strat, I suppose its partly down to personal taste, but I don't really like it.

Gilmour did use EMG's, but purely due to the fact that they reduced the amount of humming he was getting from the original pickups due to the amount of lights and other stuff at Pink Floyd shows.
