Hello there!

So I'm in search of a new guitar which must have a few things (which my current guitar doesn't have :|):
- 24 frets
- Tremolo

I'd also like it to have a single coil pu too, but it's not a must.

What do I like to play?

Well I play pretty much everything from classical music through blues to thrash metal. Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Ozzy, Dire Straits, Metallica, BB King, AC/DC, Megadeth, Slayer, Pink Floyd etc.
So it has to be pretty versatile
Price range: I'm pretty unsure about this, anyways, I won't buy it in a few months, so I'll save up some money, but I'm not a millionaire (unfortunately ).

And one more thing: DON'T recommend me a new amp first, I'll get a new amp first anyways (well, You can still recommend me one, but also recommend a guitar please :P).

Thanks in advance: Chris

/Edit: Or would be a pu change enough? I've tried a few guitars, and my current one seems to be the most comfortable (for me). Or is it just that I'm used to it?
Guitars:
- Epiphone LP goth
- Baltiomre Acoustic
- Baltimore Bass guitar

AMPs:
- Line6 Spider III 30W (For sale!)
- Johnson 15W
- Johnson 15W (bass)

Effects:
- Zoom G2.1U
- Digitech Hot Head

What's the price range?

If it fits in the budget, the Ibanez S470DXQM is right down your alley.

EDIT: Nvm. I missed the part about the price range.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

Well those guitars are pretty cheap and decent quality for the price. With a pickup change they're brilliant.
However, they don't have 24 frets.

And 24 frets Also, I don't think blues deluxe is that great for metal

Shoot.

Looks like the TS needs to save up for an S5470

But in all seriousness, for 24 frets, I suggest a Jackson DK2 if you don't mind the single coil in the neck.

I have it under good authority that Kirk Hammett actually uses a Bigsby [/Sarcasm]

Well, he used to use strats. So it's not THAT much of a stretch.

Yeah, because Bigsbys and Floyds are so similar.

TS, Shecter's, I've heard, are great value for money and very good for metal, definitely try one out.

But it doesn't have either... it just has a normal strat trem.

Okay I don't even know what we're arguing about anymore.

I don't really like the inlays, on neither of them, but I can live with that. I find the Jackson to be more versatile, cause it has hums and single coils too (is that true?). Also, I heard that emgs are only really good for metal (is that true? ), and they are a lot more expensive. So I guess my vote goes for the jackson, or are there any other recommendations?

Ibanez RG1570
Ibanez RG2550
Used Ibanez RG550
Used Ibanez RG570
Used Ibanez JEM77BSB
Used Ibanez JEM77FP (both go for surprisingly cheap)
If you dont' mind sacrificing frets:
Used Ibanez S540

Washburn X40pro

Cheapest ones with good trems I can think of

Thanks, the RG1570 looks great, but are the stock pickups okay? Wouldn't be the Seymour's in the Jackson better?
