I have a Fender Blues Junior and it sounds really muddy mostly the bass though. I've been thinking its needed new tubes for awhile now but I've got nothing to base my assumption on.

What are the signs of dying tubes that need replacing?

distortion of your cleans? possibly, most likely a failing preamp tube. any tone problems like muddiness are usually preamp problems.

Check it's pulse; should be 120/80bpm. If not, we need to transplant immediately. :P

Fer serious though....what was mentioned above.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
