Just a song of many i've been writing lately, This one's the latest so i figured i'd post it first... it's of course called "Dirty ol' Poem"... so here ya' go!

Goin’ through my junk
Just the other day
Somethin’ made me stop and stare
For I’ve kept this thing
I never thought I would
And I was unaware

I wipe off the dust
And sit in awe
Reading things I used to feel
A torn lil’ paper
For a girl I knew
And for a minute it seems unreal

A Poem of love, when all was well,
Back when I didn’t wish that you would
Burn in hell…
A Poem of Life, of you and me
Back before I could see….

I Put the Note away
And continued on
But quickly I’m to read it again
Of times when you
And I were happy
And thought id never end

Tears of Laughture
Tears of Hate
I tare the note in two
And remember the girl
Who broke my heart
With all she used to do

A Poem of love, when all was well
Back when I didn’t wish that you would
Burn in hell…
A Poem of life, for you and me
But you could never see…
No you’d never try to see…

This Dirty Ol’ Poem
Is still on the floor
The place I told you I could
Take no more
Irony strikes
The page again…
The final words that read “The End”

A Poem of love, when all was well,
Back when I didn’t wish to you would
Burn in hell…
A Poem of Life, of you and me
Back before I could truly see….

Wow, I really like this. I especially enjoy the nostalgic, melancholic mood (at least that's what I get). This is pretty sad, lots of emotion. Nice work. It feels very complete.

If you don't mind, would you check out mine?
