What are some good chords that would fit well in rock songs besides your orthodox power chords, major and minor chords. I'm thinking along the lines of some stuff like #9's, like Hendrix would use and really want to know some more. Anything I try to throw in sounds way to jazzy and I know that is a jazzy chord but also what would be a good way to incorporate these chords into songs. Thanks

Not particularly out of the ordinary, but dominant 7th and 9th chords work well with blues and blues rock, maybe even some 11ths if you're feeling adventurous.

Suspended triads work well with distortion and can be used pretty much the same way as powerchords, replacing major and minor chords.
