I' looking into an attenuator for my mark III since I can't crank it when I'm at home and practice. I mainly looked into these 3:

http://www.thomann.de/se/koch_amps_lb120ii8.htm

http://www.thomann.de/se/thd_hot_plate_8.htm

http://www.thomann.de/se/tube_amp_doctor_silencer.htm

Which one is the best?

Best bang for buck would be a Weber Mass Attenuator, otherwise the THD is top notch.
For the Weber you only have to buy one and you can switch the impendances.

^Don't think those are available in Europe. Of those the hotplate is IMO the best, unless you can get a Dr.Z/Komet Airbrake (probably not).

I guess about $50-100 depending on the shipping company. USPS would be cheapest I think.

I don't think that the United States Postal Service ships to Sweden.

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

AHAHA! I obviously fail at everything today, don't I?

On a more serious note, I was so tired when I posted that, I fell asleep like 10 minutes later.

Ok,
so I looked around a bit and found out that Weber ships to Europe via FedX Int.
So which one should I buy:

https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/mass.htm

or

https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/masslite.htm

another alternative is that I buy this one:

http://www.drzamps.com/airbrake.html

in around 2 weeks (10th or 11th May) at a Guitarshow in Gothenburg.
Wgat do you think I should do?

I'm kind of looking for an attenuator myself, but I have some questions about how it works first.

If I'm right, the attenuator goes between the output of the amplifier and the input of your speaker cabinet. The attenuator impedance has to be the same of the speaker impedance?

Then why would you need to be able to switch impedances? Only if you have different speaker cabinets?

Thanks in advance.

Indeed. So if you play on another cab you'll need a new THD Hot Plate. If you have a Weber you just have to switch the impendance.

What would be recommended? Getting out 2 tubes out of a 120W amp, or getting an attenuator, or both?

Does the taking out of the tubes have the same effect like an attenuator? But i guess is way less versatile.

Also, for a 120W amp (Ibanez Thermion), I would need a 100W Weber MASS? Or how does it work?

I'm not sure but as long as you don't max the volume (and you won't because you want to lower the volume ) on the amp a 100W should be enough. Always safer to use a 150w ofcourse.

Well if you need the tone controls go for the MASS, otherwise the MASS lite. I think both have the same features in terms of attenuation and quality.
Oh and apparently the MiniMass does not have a switchable speaker impendance, its only 8 ohms. So if you want that you'll need the MASS
