Well, I can get one soon enough, getting money from everywhere right now, so it's looking good. But are they worth the 480 quid for the Head and an Orange PPC112 cab?

I'm just wondering, as I'll probably have this for about another 3-4 years minimum and I was wondering whether it could handle gigging.

And a small matter of an argument to attend to :P

A friend of mine has a Line 6 Spier III Amp (75 watt) and he says no matter what, the Tiny Terro and Cab will never soun as good as his Spider. And he says there's no differnce between Tubes and SS. Anyone wanna' break it down to him about like, comparisons. Could the Tiny Terror handle large hall gigs (Large Churches is a good example. Or a big school gymnasium), with around 600 people sitting?

That Tiny Terror will terrorize the **** out of that spider III! There is a difference between SS and Tube amps your friend must be deaf!

its not even really 15 watts. its rated the british way, meaning that it sounds more like what most people would know as about 25w

I once got shocked by a spider amp.

I got powers like spiderman did, except I model everyone else's powers poorly.

If ignorance is bliss, your friend must be downright giddy.

I'd want a bigger amp for shows the size you describe. The tone will be fantastic, but could be drowned out - especially if you're looking to play any cleans. Not an issue if you know you have a PA to mic up to, though.

All that said, for the money you might want to look into a 30W combo. For a couple more bucks, you could have a Vox AC30.
You Don't Need a halfstack.

You Don't Need 100W.

I disagree. For the tone you get out of those it's very good value for money
