Hey gang, I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to alternate tunings for 7-strings. If my E string is down to D, would the B string then go down 2 steps to G or would it just go down 1 to A? Thanks everyone!

A.

EDIT: Wait, what are you tuning to? Drop D or D standard? (Excluding the 7th string for the moment.)

you can do whatever you want
either one of those would be a little odd in my opinion though, although the down 2 steps one would fit with the whole 'drop' chord shape

I'm in drop D, so 2 steps would fit the whole drop shape. I was thinking of tuning both the E and the B to the same D pitch, have a drone string.
