This is a "have you been playing guitar more than a week" question, isn't it

Im not really sure it matters, my best metal sound on my head i have with my mids at 9 and my treble at 3 and my bass at 2. and my other channel is pretty much opposite. so i got a boosted and a scooped. i like the boost way better.

I like them usually on the same level as my treble, and then the bass has an extra push.

I tend to have the low mids flat or cut very slightly and the high mids boosted. That or I bypass my amp EQ.

Depends on what pickups I'm using, I usually use 2:

Bridge - I usually put down my mids, it gets to harsh (in a bad way) when I got mids boosted

Bridge & Middle Combo - I put it up, and make sure tone for the Middle PU is set to 1, I get a great metal tone when I boost the treble and bass
