omfg i have just found the new satch pedal is gonna be released soon and it is £85 so will itbe good for gain settings anywhere from clapton nd hendrix to say pantera (maybe a bit excessive) cos i love satchs tone and how its nice and bluesy, would it be worth it or should i look elswhere.

the tone thing, my perfect tone is somewhere between clapton, rolling stones and guns n roses, so thats what i look for in pedals so would this be good and is it worth the price?

Buddy, if it hasn't been released I'm guessing we don't know any more about it than you do...

That being said, we can use a bit of logic to answer your question. You want Clapton and Rolling Stones tones. Well they use very few pedals, and rely basically on vintage style amps to naturally drive power tubes. For the most part their sounds are clean amp channels pushed. Very subtle and heavily dependant on the player (dynamics, etc).

Satch plays high gain progressive rock through a rack of effects the size of a house.

Can you see the disconnect here? I'm guessing the self described "High gain, low noise design" isn't going to make your guitar sound like Beast of Burden of Cocaine.

That looks pretty killer. I'd totally give it a shot before anything else if you're a big Satch fan. You certainly can't go wrong if he was involved in the pedals design. I absolutely love his tone. I'd be interested in seeing when this would be available in the U.S.
