Since im pretty much tired of playing my strat and it has so much limitations, I have decided to buy myself a new guitar and amp... But which one should I go for?
Guitar: Schecter C-1 Hellraiser FR OR Jackson DKMG Dinky
Amp: Peavey ValueKing 112 Combo Amp OR Marshall MG50DFX Combo Amp OR Line 6 Spider III 75 75W 1x12 Stereo Guitar Combo Amp

To further evaluate, I mostly play stuff like Iron Maiden, Trivium, Dream Theater, Opeth and Metallica! If I change my mood then I also play Creed, Black Sabbath, Steve Vai and Nirvana!

So wat do u guys say? Which is the perfect pair?

PS. I've just added the Line 6 Spider III on the list!

your strat has limitations??? you obviously arent trying hard enough.

EDIT: id go valveking instead of the marshall and probably not the dinky
people with large sig's are clearly compensating for something.

the MG is horrible, i bought one and cant stand it. VKs are good for the stuff you play. and the schecter is a million times better than the dinky.

The Schecter C1 Hellraiser honestly is a fantastic guitar - far better than the Jackson. Also, the Valveking 112 is significantly better than the MG50. Having said that, the VK won't really go into metal territory without being pushed by a pedal.

Also, wrong forum.

You have no idea how much this strat sucks... Its not even a original Fender strat! (Its a Behringer V-Tone)... I even have a hard time bending the strings and doing solos! I tried all tht on my frnd's B.C. Rich Mockingbird and I was able to it with ease!

So are there any Marshall amps which are better than MG series? (Dont mention the JCM series... They're waaaaay too expensive for me...)

I've heard stories abt ValueKing... Some say we need to change the tube to make it sound better! Is tht really true? If yes, any suggestions?

Get the Valveking, it's a lot better than either of the other amps. For the guitar I can't say anything about the Jackson, but I've heard the Schechter is a great amp.

Sadly enough, the Valueking (lol) is the best out of the bunch. But my personal opinion is, it's a piece of crap. Tone wise it does not have a good sound. Many people talk about re-tubing them AND changing the speakers out, to make it sound decent. I am not sure of your price range but maybe a B52 1X12 or 2X12 would be a much better option.

I would say don't get any of them or you will be buying another amp soon.

get the mg!!!!!11 the overdrive is crushing !!

sorry i couldnt resist...

if you absolutely need an amp right now then id say the valveking out of the 3. but i would recomend saving up money for a little while longer, so you have more amps to choose from.

The valveking is the only amp worth talking about on that list, and it's still a little flat and thin, stock.

Either guitar is solid. Play them and choose for yourself. Beware of cheap Floyds.

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

The Schecter represents much better value for money than the Jackson, but like someone has mentioned, beware of Licensed Floyds. My advice here would be to either get the string-through+TOM model, or get a more expensive guitar with an Official Floyd Rose trem - that would probably work out cheaper than replacing the trem.

Hellraiser + Valveking + OD pedal

The Valveking is a great amp for the money, to to break you into tube territory, but don't be expecting Recto-style tones from it... it's like, a tenth of the price.

Hellrasier, Valveking, and maybe a Digitech Bad Monkey = good cheap metal setup.
