If your current guitar works, I think you should get a much better amp.
The Marshall MG series is know for their terrible sound.

Definitely upgrade to a valve amp before you get a new guitar. You'll realise just how good your PRS is.

Your guitars will definately do, Epi or PRS both are fine.

And with your amp, I'd sell it on. A lot of people will be like (I assume) you were and think "Marshall, what a steal I'll buy it" so you'll be able to sell it for more than it's actually worth.
My dad bought me the same amp and I sold it on shortly later for half the price (£150) ended up buying a Laney Valve amp. A LOT better, you'll really realise what tone is through a Valve amp.
