Does anybody know if you can drive alone for the first 6 months of having a drivers license? I heard thats a rule and I think thats really stupid. I know thats the way it is with a permit but a drivers license?!

are you maybe thinking, you can't have any passengers, or only 1 passenger (and/or a sibling),

First 6 months w/ a Texas license
-midnight curfew
-only one non-family member in the car while you're driving

So yes, you can drive alone but you can't drive with more than one friend.

The way Texans drive, it should apply to everyone!

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

It's a pretty good rule. You can get really distracted with more than one passenger.

First of all curfews are a city ordinance, so it depends on the city you live in. Harlingen, TX has one for anybody under 18 at midnight (thank God I don't live there!!!). When you get your TX licence, ITS ALL YOU! There are no rules (except those that apply to the road). And Texas drivers ARE SAFE! Allstate awarded my hometown as the safest driving place in Texas (least amoun of accidents; mainly because NOBODY has insurance and wants to pay for the other person's ****)
