Hey

I compose some orchestral music on and off and export to midi.
Which of the following would be better for me to use as a vsti for the instruments?

Garritan Personal Orchestra (2004 version)

or

EastWest Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition

Thanks

I cant try either out as none have any demos.
There are Mp3's on each ones home page though - they both sound good but i would like to get an opinion of someone whose used them.

I have only used the Garritan, but I have heard much better things about East West. I wasn't over impressed with Garritan to be frank.
There is poetry in despair.

I use the EW Gold edition, and it is quite stunning. Excellent strings, brass, and orchestral percussion. Beware though, it is a memory hog. I recommend no less than 2GB RAM if you plan on composing full orchestral pieces with it.

So it looks like i'll be going with EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition then.
Thanks
