Right so i got a Marshall AVT50 and you cant really gig with that, im sure most of you will agree with me in saying the sound quality isnt all that. I am hopefully going to be gigging in small venues with my band soon. We are a pop punk band, and im looking for a new amp. My budget is about £200-£250. Doesnt matter if its a combo or head and cab. I need some suggestions of amps which would be suitable for my type of music and in my price range.

Thanks :-)

What kind of small venues? Will these small venues have a PA that will reinforce the entire band, or just give amplification to vocals? Because if it's the former, you can squeak by with a smaller versatile tube amp in your budget. But if it's the latter, you'll have to carry your own weight, and you may want to save up a tad more for a bit more output to make sure the mix stays relatively even.

Yeah these venues will have a PA and its mainly vocals, sometimes they mic up the kick drum but not really the guitars.

Yeah, try those out, with the trade in value you might be able to cover it. If not, save and hold out as long as you can. Nothing more frustrating than to be under powered in the mix.
