I turn on my system and it displays a black screen with white letters and it performs a consistency check on my C:/ drive. Wtf did it do? I haven't experienced anything negative in the past few months and I haven't done anything that could cause this, just normal use.

I ask you, pit monkeys... what is this?

Don't know about those in Windows, but in Linux I think it happens every 27 mounts or 1 month (I think) - which ever comes first. I think the command is fsck...
