I've used both Maple and Rosewood, and I honestly can't tell the difference.

i prefer the way maple shows use, makes it more personal. but really. call me deaf but i personally think its more a cosmetic choice.

My old squier had a maple board, and I think i prefered it to my current rosewood strat board- Which does need oiling though. The maple one felt a little smoother, but I think it was all in my mind
