Right in Northwest Indiana. I heard it happened In Southern-Mid Illinois but I felt up here. For those of you who don't know Lake county is right underneath lake Michigan and right of Illinois.
I am BEAST!!!!

Residents across the Midwest were awakened Friday by a 5.2-magnitude earthquake that rattled skyscrapers in Chicago’s Loop and homes in Cincinnati but appeared to cause no major injuries or damage in Indiana. The quake just before 4:37 a.m. was centered six miles from West Salem, Ill., and 45 miles from Evansville. It was felt in such distant cities as Milwaukee, Des Moines, Iowa, and Atlanta, nearly 400 miles to the southeast. Share your story: E-mail Rich Jackson at rjackson@post-trib.com

Did anything kool happen? Like motorway collapsing which caused a baby to get trapped in the car with a dog? Then car blows up?

5.2 earthquake felt that far away? a 4.0 earthquake is the same as only standing on the side of a highway as a semi goes by...
Seems crazy. Wasn't it right on the New Madrid fault? Such a huge fault line and people are surprised about earthquakes in the middle of the US...

Like you said, it doesn't matter, but scientists reevalutated after originally stating 5.4.

Its a logarithmic scale. a magnitude 5 quake is ten times as powerful as a magnitude 4 one.

I'm in Central Indiana, and my house shook slightly for like 10 seconds. I was putting my belt through the loops and I heard the house rattling and I could see my guitars starting to vibrate on the stands. Was kind of interesting.

I was in my bed and for some reason I woke up right before it happened. So there I was lying there looking at the ceiling when suddenly my bed starts rocking back and forth violently. FIRST thing that came to my mind: ghost. I rolled over and faced the wall with my eyes tightly shut until it was light out. I couldn't get back to sleep. Yeah, I'm a pansy.

I watch too many paranormal shows...

You're not a beast, you're a douchebag.

I'm even closer to where it happened than you say you are, and we only got ourselves a little rumble here. Plus, about half the people at my school slept through it.

I live in the Ozark Mountains of central Missouri. I slept thru it, but my wife said she noticed some shaking around 4:30AM. I understand the big one is yet to come from the New Madrid fault which is bigger than the San Andreas fault line. Oh well, I left Mississippi to escape the hurricanes, now its earthquakes and tornadoes and hillbillys. Yeeha!

It woke me up at around 5:30 (I live in Michigan).

At first I heard rattling, so I thought there was just some kind of animal in my bedroom wall. Then I felt my bed shake...

Yeah.
