ok, so this is my first post, so I hope I'm putting this in the right section.

I was tinkering last MONTH, and I came up with an intro that I'd like to make a song out of.
But, I suck at chord progression, as I find myself always going back to same basic chords.

It goes like this:

**4th fret

e|--------------0----------|---------------0--------0-------|
B|------1------1----------|------0-------0-----------------|
G|--------0----0----0----|--------1----1------------1---|
D|--------------2---------|--------------0-----------------|
A|---3---------3----------|---2----------2-----------------|
E|--------------X---------|--------------0-----------------|

any tips or ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Sarah

yeah I skimmed the theory sticky.
I've kinda played guitar for 4 years. But everytime I try to add on, it just doesn't
seem to fit or match.
I could just leave it and come back to it in a couple of months. But I'll probably
create a cycle.

It seems like it's in A minor. The chords in A minor are Am Bdim C Dm Em F G. These chords will make sense with what you already have. You have E7, which is a common substitute for the V in a minor key.
