hi!

Heres the thing...
I'm playing with a band(I started it) and we have this drummer that plays drums for 1 year and a half now but he really sucks.
We play punk rock....that means pretty fast beats...
Now we can only play things like Boulevard of broken dreams...
The fastest thing we play is All the small things.
I don't really like that kind of punk rock and neither does out bass player and himself.
Me and my brother(bass player) were searching for a drummer for over 3 months....
We haven't found a single drummer.
Then I thought of this drummer cuz I knew him before.
Now we finally got a singer and he really rocks.
But now the drummer is breaking us down...a LOT!
what should we do?
(he says hes improving a bit...he learned basket case xD)

replace him with a machine?
no seriously, if he's the only one you've got then deal with it and help him get better.

amen to that, mates had a similar situation just program the drums yourself to endless replay value

We're helping as much as we can.
I'm showing him how he should play, what's the beat for the songs we play and stuff...
I think we'll start the search again and in the meantime help him get better... xD
Cuz we really want to play some ''cool'' songs on the gig...

I think you should give him a chance and some time to improve. It's taken you a long time to find him and you don't know anyone else. It doesn't sound like he's a difficult guy. Give him time to learn and improve. If he doesn't work at it, let him go.
