Yeah, buy pretty much ANYTHING else.

What's your budget, what kind of music do you play, and where do you play?
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite
#3
It's overpriced and not so well liked in general. I would advice against it.

What styles do you like to play and what's your budget?

Edit: ^ Beat me to it.

Hmm...Roland Cube might not be bad.

Is this just for practice purposes or do you plan on gigging?

If you go used you could get a tube combo, maybe a Valveking or so, depends i assume your playing by yourself and not in a band? If so maybe a blackheart? Im not sure how much gain they have though but there very good reportdly. Also look at the roland cube series.

i finally worked out a week ago how **** mgs are.
they are disgusting
noisy
and just ****
#14
dude if you can spend 400$ you could get a valveking or something like that... its not the best but its better than Zack's Stacks
#15
Maybe a used 5150?
Supposed to have great overdrive and it might suit your styles well. I can't say much more though as i'm not familiar with the amp. However lots of users recommend it for the heavier stuff.

Perhaps someone more knowledgable could go more into detail about these amps.

the marshall zakk wylde MG ministack is a "crushingly" overpriced piece of crap, in all fairness, they are just brittle, thin, tinny sounding, and the 'CRUSHING overdrive' sounds like the sound you'd get if you flushed a toilet that was full of bees.

I also recommend the Roland Cube 60, as steven seagull suggested. its just a better sounding, much more versatile amp.

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp

I agree with the Vypyr 30. I had a regular Marshall MG Micro Stack which is exactly the same amp as the Zakk Wylde version they just changed the looks a little. I hated the MG and traded it in on my Vypyr. The Vypyr is a much better amp.
