Desert Yellow RG550 and a Carvin TS100 and TN100 running through a Vader 2x12 cab.

I love the tone of this set-up. There's DiMarzio EVOs in the RG550. I've got a few other guitars as well, but hardly ever use them outside of alternate tunings or backups.

How do you like the bandit, and how do the cleans sound?
I've been looking for a new amp recently, and that one caught my eye. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though.

It's a great SS practice amp. The built in overdrive isn't anything to be proud of, but when does a SS amp ever have good overdrive?

Cleans don't exist on the high gain input. It's got this slight crunch to it. The low gain input is better than the high gain, but in no way comparable to say...a Fender amp.

All in all, great practice amp. I'm actually selling mine to help pay for the 5150/6505, whichever I happen to find. So if you do decide to buy one, hit me up.

I have low end crap. But whatever I only have been playing for a year and a half.

...whoa...

My gear's in my sig - does anyone else use Laney HCMs? Seems to be only me and my best mate use them (he has an HCM15R, but's made in China and mine's made in UK )

Imo, the HCM's a pretty decent SS amp - the overdrive's nothing spectacular, but definitely has a nice crunch, and the Laney amp is very versatile. It also has a preset unique tone, which I quite like. Oh, and the clean channel is extremely powerful - very strong sound that feels like someone is hitting you round the head with a set of chimes. Sounds waaaay more powerful than 30 watts, but that's just my opinion.

I have an HCMB15 for my bass. Its good, but I've nothing to compare it to- its my first bass amp. Its good for the price, even has a built in compressor
I used some laney guitar amps in the mid 90's and I rated them.

My kit (bit more detailed than sig):
mid 90's Fender MIJ Photoflame 60's reissue strat, Rosewood neck, Tobacco Sunburst
Mid 90's marshall Valvestate VS65R Combo
