What's You Fav. Pick Size Range And Brand

Once you play guitar/bass for a while you begin to use a certain size pick more often than the others, thus developing a favorite. Also, you'll find you like a certain brand, based on the style and looks of the pick, and what its made from = flexibility/durabilty.

Mine favourite's are from sizes 0.4mm to 0.8mm regularly, but for heavy rhythm parts i'll use maybe 1mm to 1.4mm. and i really like the Planet Wave picks. For playing guitar.

Dunlop Tortex .60 (the orange ones) 90 % of the time, but sometimes I also like to use Jazz III's and Fender medium cells (the greenish blue ones).

Used 1.5 Gators for years, now they just sound like mush to me. Ultex 1.0's seems to be the best for me now. Crisp tone, thick enough so it doesn't bend in your hand (no bending = faster playing since you don't have to fight the pick). And they last a decent amount of time.

I'll used .88 Tortex in a pinch, but they have too smooth of a tone to me, too plastic-y sounding and not enough grit for good chunck rhythms.
- Fender, Taylor, Martin, Ibanez, Ramirez, Marshall, Boss, Morley, Mesa/Boogie, Univox, Shure, Monster, Dunlop, Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, Lace, Sperzel, DW, Tama, Zildjian, and a little Johnnie Walker

i used to use ibanez gripwizards but after seeing so many people on ug using jazz III's, i decided to try them out and i fell in love with them
